How QmiSoft gets more efficient

Pointing at others' mistakes is easy. We look critically at our own methods first — and turn improvements into faster processes, automation and tools.

A cycle of review, improve, adopt and automate — faster with every round

It is always easy to point out the weaknesses, gaps and mistakes of others. We find it more useful to start with ourselves: we look at our own work methods with a critical eye — every day. Not because things are going badly, but because we want to get better.

Improvement only counts once it is adopted

A good idea that nobody uses changes nothing. Improvement becomes real only when it is adopted — in the team, in the process, in everyday work. And adoption itself has to be efficient: short to learn, easy to repeat and clearly better than the old way. Otherwise it quietly disappears again.

That is why we treat improvement as a cycle, not a one-off project:

  1. Review — where do we lose time, where do errors creep in, what annoys us?
  2. Improve — change the concept or the process, as small as possible and as big as necessary.
  3. Adopt — make the new way the default, with clear instructions and templates.
  4. Automate — whatever still repeats by hand becomes a script, a workflow or a tool.

Then the cycle starts again. Each round makes us a little faster and a little more reliable. It is the same way we work on customer projects.

Concepts, processes, automation — and our own tools

Today’s requirements move fast: new technologies, shorter release cycles, higher expectations for security and quality. To keep up, we continuously:

  • refine our internal concepts — architecture patterns, checklists and building blocks we can reuse;
  • streamline our processes — from the first customer request to support and maintenance;
  • automate — builds, tests, checks and deployments run the same way every time;
  • develop our own tools where no good tool exists yet.

From our workshop to the community

Our software workshop already builds apps for the Google Play Store. They started as tools for our own internal processes — and we publish them so the wider community can benefit from what we have learned. For us, this is part of openness: practical experience shared, not kept in a drawer.

Efficient, but never at the expense of data protection

Faster must never mean careless. Data protection and compliance are built into our tools and processes from the start: only the data that is really needed, clear responsibilities, and transparency about what happens with information. Efficiency that puts your data at risk is not efficiency — it is a future problem.

What this means for you

When we get better, you benefit directly: shorter lead times, fewer errors, solutions built on proven building blocks — and a partner who questions their own work before questioning anyone else’s.
